Starting, managing and even maintaining a music group has never been a walk in the park for most creatives in the country.
Many Kenyan music groups have come and gone even without realizing their full potential.
However, there are some which have managed to weather the times and maintain their partnership even after a decade or so.
Cannibal and Sharama happen to be a music duo that has not only maintained their friendship but also working relationship, even years after venturing into solo music careers.

Nairobi News understands Cannibal and Sharama caused ripples in the music industry for many years during their prime time.
The duo dropped massive hit songs between 2007 and 2018 and endeared themselves to many music lovers who could not get enough of their hip hop vibes.
The two artists ventured into solo music careers and divided fans but that did not mark the end of their brotherhood, as Nairobi News has learnt.
This was brought to life recently when the two rappers linked up and shared the moment with their fans through social media.
It is not yet clear where the two met but a post by Sharama celebrating their partnership brought back fresh memories in the minds of their fans allover the world.
Sharama, on Monday, September 8, 2025, took to social media and posted a photo of himself with colleague Cannibal, that screamed nothing but much love.
In the photo, the two one time popular music acts from Mombasa hugged each other in a move that impressed hundreds of their fans.
Looking at the photo, one can clearly sense the love and brotherhood the two legendary artists share.
In the caption, Sharama thanked God for getting them this far and helping them maintain their friendship from when they were just youths to now, when they are all grown and parents to many.
“Thank you God for this far. Toka ujana mpaka utu uzima. Hadi tumekua wazazi. Big brotherhood love,”he captioned.

The post impressed and excited most of their fans who thronged the comments section to congratulate them for showing, rather teaching countless people about real brotherhood.
Others could not help but beg them to hit the studio together again and drop hits to entertain them.
It should be noted Cannibal and Sharama topped Kenyan music charts during their prime time with massive hit songs such as Streeth Hustler and Kichwa Kibov, just to mention but a few.
However, the two went their separate ways with Cannibal converting into a gospel artist and Sharama remaining on the hip hop arena.
