TECNO launches the world’s thinnest curved-screen smartphone — The SPARK Slim — in Kenya

TECNO, the global AI-driven technology innovator that recently marked a major milestone at IFA 2025, has officially launched the TECNO SPARK Slim in Kenya — the world’s thinnest curved-screen smartphone, measuring just 5.93mm thick.

Despite its ultra-slim body, the SPARK Slim maintains exceptional durability, featuring military-grade certification and a powerful 5160mAh battery, proving that style and strength can coexist. The device retails at sh 27,999 (exclusive of VAT).

At only 5.93mm, the SPARK Slim sets a new record as the slimmest curved-screen phone globally. This breakthrough is made possible by TECNO’s innovative Honeycomb Space Stacking design, which optimizes internal space by 12%, allowing eight essential components — including the motherboard, battery, and cooling system — to fit into a remarkably compact frame.

Its 5160mAh high-density lithium cobalt oxide battery delivers up to 24.8 hours of continuous use and supports 45W fast charging, 10W reverse charging, and bypass charging. A 0.3mm vapor chamber and high-conductivity graphite layer ensure the device stays cool during gaming and multitasking.

Powered by the MediaTek Helio G200 chipset, the SPARK Slim offers balanced performance and efficiency, TÜV-certified for up to five years of fluent operation.

Crafted from aerospace-grade fiberglass, the SPARK Slim’s back cover is 200% more flexible and 300% stronger than standard materials, while being even thinner. Its display is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass 7i, and the phone is IP64-rated for dust and water resistance.

Available in Slim White and Cool Black, the SPARK Slim weighs just 156g and features an elegant 3D curved design for a comfortable grip. Its unique Mood Light design on the back adds playful personality, with animated “eyes” that respond to notifications, charging, and calls — turning everyday interactions into moments of fun self-expression.

The SPARK Slim boasts a 1.5K curved display with 144Hz refresh rate and up to 4500 nits brightness, ensuring crisp, vibrant visuals even under sunlight.

Integrated TECNO AI enhances productivity and creativity with real-time translation, document summarization, and photo correction. Features like Touch Transfer, Dolby stereo speakers, and FreeLink (for Bluetooth-based communication without network coverage) further enrich the user experience.
