Detectives are investigating three separate cases of sudden deaths in Nairobi and Muranga Counties.
In the first incident, police in Lang’ata Sub-County said they were investigating a sudden death incident after the body of an unidentified man was discovered beneath a bridge near the junction of Southern Bypass and Lang’ata Link Road.
According to the police, a team of police officers responded to information about a body lying under the bridge near the NHC area on Tuesday May 12.
Upon arriving at the scene, the officers found the lifeless body of an unknown male adult aged about 42 years lying beneath the bridge.
Police said preliminary examination showed the body had no visible physical injuries.
Crime Scene Investigation officers processed the scene. Afterwards, the body was moved to Nairobi City County Funeral Home awaiting autopsy and identification.
Elsewhere, police in Murang’a County are investigating a sudden death incident after the body of a 67-year-old man was found lying by the roadside at Kaharo Shopping Centre in Murang’a South Sub-County.
Police identified the deceased as Julius Mburu, a Kikuyu male adult aged approximately 67 years.
Preliminary examination revealed that the body had no visible physical injuries.
Investigators further established through relatives that the deceased was a resident of Kaigio village. He was also known to frequently sleep outside as he reportedly had no family support.
The scene was documented before the body was moved to Maragua Level 4 Hospital mortuary. There, it awaits an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
In the same area, police were investigating a sudden death incident after a 71-year-old man was found lying dead along a feeder road in Ndutumi Village within Kahuro Sub-County.
Police said they responded to information that a man had been found unresponsive on a feeder road within the area. The deceased was identified as Linkon Irungu Gocho, a Kikuyu male adult aged 71 years.
Upon examination, officers established that the body had no visible external injuries.
Preliminary inquiries indicated that the deceased was last seen on May 11, 2026 at around 6pm at Ndutumi Shopping Centre. He was reportedly in a drunken state, according to his grandson.
The scene was processed and documented by crime scene investigators. Afterwards, the body was moved to Muriranjas Sub-County Hospital Mortuary for preservation pending postmortem examination.
