Tragedy as Guard Dies by Suicide in Kileleshwa

A security guard was discovered deceased near his workplace in what is suspected to be a suicide in the Kileleshwa area of Nairobi.

Authorities reported that the body of 25-year-old Leshan Isaac Karuna was found hanging from a tree adjacent to Kirichwa Creek Apartments in Kilimani, following an apparent suicide attempt.

This incident occurred on Saturday, November 2.

Karuna had reported for his night shift at the apartment complex earlier that evening.

At approximately 4 a.m., a resident returning home noticed the gate open and unattended.

It was during this time that the body was located hanging from a tree across from the apartments, according to police reports.

The motive behind this tragic event remains unclear.

This incident marks the latest in a series of similar occurrences, despite ongoing efforts to combat this troubling trend.

The body has been transported to City Mortuary for an autopsy.

In a separate incident in the Embakasi area, a man died after leaping from the fourth floor of an apartment building.

A caretaker at Ireke Plaza in the Tel Aviv area reported that an individual had fallen to his death.

Upon police arrival, they discovered the body of an unidentified adult male on the ground floor, suffering from severe head injuries.

It was later determined that the victim had fallen through the roof after jumping from a neighboring apartment.

The motive for this incident is also unknown, but authorities are conducting an investigation into the events that transpired on Sunday night.

The remains have been transferred to the mortuary while awaiting an autopsy.

Authorities have expressed concern over the rising trend of suicides, with reports indicating that as many as two cases occur each day.

According to the World Health Organization, these incidents are often linked to factors such as unemployment, bereavement, academic challenges, legal issues, and financial hardships.
