Wycliffe Oparanya’s lover Mary Biketi opens up after claims her car was repocessed by politician

Cooperatives Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya’s mpango wa kando Mary Biketi has finally come out to defend herself after claims that her car was repocessed by the politician following an alleged breakup.

Biketi has strongly dismissed claims that her car was repocessed as earlier alleged by a section of Kenyans on social media.

Taking to her social media pages on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Biketi disclosed that she is not struggling financially and that she owns and can afford more cars, even if the stories peddled around were true.

“I have been in South Africa for quite some time. Coming back, I hear people saying my car was repossessed. Excuse me, in fact, add an ‘s’ because I have cars,” she said.

She also used the opportunity to dispel rumours that she lives in Syokimau, in a house bought for her by Oparanya immediately after becoming a Cabinet Secretary.

The lass insisted that she already owned the house way before Oparanya landed the plum government job.

“Ohh naishi Syokimau… nilinunuliwa nyumba hata kabla akue CS. Wengine wenu mnafikiria naahangaika kama nyinyi? I am not suffering, mimi siteseki kama nyinyi,” she added.

She went on to blast her critics and urged them to focus on and mind their own business, including looking for money to pay up their debts, especially the Hustler Fund instead of spreading false reports about her.

“Lipeni Hustler Fund kwanza ndio mni address,” she said.

Mary also ridiculed claims that she was left without a car, questioning whether those spreading the story expected her to be moving around in a tuk-tuk or motorbike.

She insisted that her life is comfortable and stable, and she is focused on her work in Trans Nzoia rather than the rumours.

“What am I driving now, when you say my car has been taken? What is this? A tuk-tuk? Or a motorbike, which some of you don’t even own? I am living well. I am not struggling like you,” she added.

This comes about a week after claims that she had been dumped by Oparanya emerged.

The rumours intimated that the CS had repocessed a car he had bought Mary and even kicked her out of a home he bought.

It was reported Biketi was struggling financially after the CS ceased supporting her financially.
