Akothee blasts haters trolling Azziad after her house was auctioned

Controversial singer Akothee has joined the list of a few Kenyans who jumped to Azziad Naisenya’s defence following an online backlash after her Kileleshwa home was auctioned.

As earlier reported by Nairobi News, Azziad’s apartment was placed under auction after defaulting on a Sh 25 million mortgage.

News of Azziad being auction sparked mixed reactions online with many netizens dragging her online for her alleged financial illiteracy.

Well, shielding her from the critics, Akothee came out and blasted haters tormenting the TikToker following reports of the auction.

In a long Facebook post sighted by this site, Akothee lauded Azziad for being able to secure a Sh 25 million home at only 25.

She blasted her critics holding that most of them were not as successful as Azziad when they were at her age.

“I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOUR COURAGE MOMMY

Let’s stop bullying Azziad , pick a struggle!

First and foremost, I respect and love this girl even more for dreaming bigger.

That’s exactly the way to go. If your dreams don’t cause you sleepless nights, then they’re not big enough!

Let’s reason together. At just 25 years old, Azziad is able to acquire a loan and buy herself a house. That’s commendable! Some of us, at 25, had already survived 70 failed marriages, were raising children alone, torn between returning to our parents’ homes or sleeping on the streets — with zero bank accounts, no jobs, no certificates, and no direction,” Akothee wrote.

She noted that most people, especially men who are bullying Azziad are just jealous because they do not even own motorbikes at their old age.

She insisted that Azziad has done well for herself and that she should not be given sleepless nights by poor critics.

“If we applied for a visa back then, we would have borrowed bank statements or listed imaginary businesses just to qualify.

If you can’t find anything positive to learn from Azziad, just keep quiet. Millions of Kenyans are living on loans and borrowed life, yet here’s a young woman taking responsibility for her own future.

She’s not waiting to be rescued; she’s building herself up so she won’t be a burden to her parents or her future husband.

Some of the men criticizing her don’t even qualify for a motorbike loan and are still living in rental houses they can barely afford. Let’s celebrate courage, not condemn it.

Azziad, I see you. Keep dreaming, keep building , you’re an inspiration to many. ❤️👏

I LOVE THAT SPIRIT

I LOVE YOU,” she added.

Her sentiments were echoed by a section of her fans and other Kenyans who urged haters to cut Azziad some slack.

Many noted that Azziad, just like most people is not immune to financial challenges.

Just recently, the TikToker made national headlines after reports of her house being mortgaged emerged.

Some netizens dragged her online claiming she should have been smart enough and not waste money on useless things, sinking herself deeper into debts.

Others, consoled her by stating that everyone makes mistakes in life and can come out of whatever challenges victorious.
