Comedian Eddie Butita has left fans talking after seemingly going against his own word.
The funnyman recently took to social media to flaunt a cosy photo of himself rocking matching pyjamas with his new lover, Celest Terer, despite previously swearing he would never be caught dead in such a setup.
In the snap, sighted by Nairobi News on the evening of Saturday, November 8, the two lovebirds are seen wearing Christmas-inspired pyjamas, with Butita captioning the post:
“Merry Christmas from ME and MINE.”

While many flooded the comments with warm holiday wishes, others were quick to point out that Butita had gone back on his own promise.
Several netizens reminded him of a past moment where he boldly declared he would never match outfits with his partner.
Some fans wondered what had changed so suddenly, with many hinting that his new bae might be the magic behind the transformation.
In an old video that went viral, Butita had joked about his dislike for matching couple outfits, saying:
“Yaani mimi niende mahali, kwa mall, kwa soko ninunue pyjama yenye inafanana na mtu, twende tupige picha tuandike ‘from me and mine’? Ehhh hata naishia na nguvu nikiskia hivyo.”
He added:
“Mimi nikae tu mahali niseme Merry Christmas from me and mine na tumevaa pyjama inafanana? Ehhh… hii comedy haiwezi isha.”

However, despite his past sentiments, it appears that love has won, and the comedian no longer cares about public opinion.
Butita and Terer, who have been publicly dating for a few months now, have been serving fans undeniable couple goals online.
Just recently, Butita even took her to his village, where he introduced her to his grandmother.
Love is winning and clearly, matching pyjamas are now part of the package.
