Maandamano: Bien walks out of popular hotel after foreigners are given preferential treatment

Singer Bien Aime was recently forced to walk out of a renowned Kakamega hotel after staff gave foreigners preferential treatment, leaving him and his party embarrassed.

The star came out to condemn the hotel and its staff in a heated rant through his Insta-stories.

In a series of statements sighted by Nairobi News, the singer called out the hotel, saying it is time for Kenyans to stop giving foreigners more attention than their own countrymen.

He disclosed that they were forced to walk out of the establishment in protest on Wednesday, January 7, after feeling demeaned.

The musician noted that he would have spent a lot of money at the hotel but chose to take it elsewhere, where locals are treated well, after the incident.

“We need to decolonize our spaces as a nation,” he stated.

According to crooner, respect should be given equally to everyone regardless of background.

The lifestyle singer revealed that this is not the first time he has faced such discrimination.

“I had a similar experience at O* in Nanyuki,” Bien said.

He reiterated that such treatment happens in different places across the country, and it is sickening.

Bien urged Kenyans to stand up for themselves and reclaim dignity in local spaces.

“We need to take back our spaces,” he said.

The same sentiment was echoed by his wife Chiki Kuruka, who shared her experience, saying the treatment they received was not only upsetting but also disappointing.
