Jamaican dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel has sent Kenyan fans into a frenzy after revealing that he is working towards performing in Kenya before the end of 2026.
Speaking during an interview with OnStage, the “World Boss” disclosed that discussions with Kenyan promoters are already underway as he explores the possibility of bringing his highly anticipated live show to the country.
Kartel also revealed that Kenya ranks among his biggest streaming markets globally, a testament to the deep connection he has developed with Kenyan fans over the years.
“I’m officially a Kenyan,” the Jamaican star said, further fuelling excitement among fans who have long embraced him as one of their own.
The remarks come just weeks after Kartel again declared himself Kenyan during his headline performance at Reggae Land 2026 in the United Kingdom.
While addressing a crowd of more than 60,000 people at Milton Keynes National Bowl, the dancehall heavyweight told the audience:
“I was born in Jamaica, but I’m actually Kenyan.”
