The TikTok Profile View History Feature
TikTok has a feature called Profile View History, which allows users to see a list of people who have visited their profile. However, this feature is optional — it’s not turned on by default for everyone.
When the feature is enabled:
- If you have Profile View History turned on, you can see the usernames of people who visited your profile in the last 30 days.
- Other users who also have it enabled will be able to see that you viewed their profile.
When the feature is off, no one can see that you’ve visited their profile, and you also won’t be able to see who visits yours.

How to Check If You’re Visible to Someone You Viewed
To know whether your profile views are being shown to others, you should check if you have Profile View History turned on:
- Open TikTok and go to your profile.
- Tap the eye icon at the top right (this appears only if you have the feature).
- Toggle the Profile View History option on or off.
If it’s on, and the other person has it on, they will see your name when you visit their profile.
- Scenarios to Understand
- Both Users Have Profile View History On
→ The person will see you viewed their profile. - You Have It On, They Have It Off
→ They won’t see you, and you won’t see them. - You Have It Off, They Have It On
→ They still won’t see you — the feature works only if both have it enabled.

Privacy Considerations
If you’re casually browsing and don’t want others to know, simply turn the feature off. You can toggle it anytime, and TikTok will immediately stop sharing your profile view history.
Also, keep in mind:
- Profile View History tracks only profile visits — it does not track when you watch someone’s videos.
- The list of viewers resets every 30 days, so older visits won’t be visible after that time.
