Nairobi County environment chief officer Geoffrey Mosiria has joined the list of many people advising the sensational Gengetone couple VJ Patelo and his wife Dee on what to do and not to do while in their marriage.
Mosiria, who has somewhat morphed from a county worker to relationship expert recently hosted Patelo and Dee at his office in City Hall, Nairobi.
During the meeting, Mosiria, Patelo and Dee enjoyed photo sessions but most importantly chatted about marriage and relationships.
Nairobi News has learnt the county official could not let the couple leave his office without advising them on how to deal with online criticism and protecting his marriage.

Stick To The Plan
Speaking after the artiste visited him at his office on Friday, September 12, 2025, Mosiria encouraged him to ignore what people are saying about his wife, Dee, holding that negative comments often come from jealousy or misunderstanding rather than fact.
Mosiria reiterated that a couple should focus on each other and avoid letting outsiders interfere in their relationship.
“Today I was visited by an Eastland celebrity. There was a wedding that was trending online, and I really enjoyed it. This brother Patelo involved ghetto youth in the wedding celebrations. And today, the bride and groom are right here with me. I want to advise you, bro, not to listen to what people say,” Mosiria said.
He further urged Patelo to protect his wife from gossip, advising him to cover his ears from negative remarks and remain steadfast in his commitment.
“People are saying things like your wife is old or making other comments. Know that she is yours, and those who speak badly are just jealous,” he added.
Mosiria also used the opportunity to share advice to young people, highlighting the importance of choosing capable partners, being focused, and not being distracted by societal pressures or external opinions.
“At this point, if you love someone, do not let other people interfere in your relationship. Also, tell your wife not to pay attention to what people are saying. Protect your relationship,” Mosiria advised.
He also reminded both VJ Patelo and other young couples that in relationships, age is just a number, and success and happiness depend on mutual respect, trust, and commitment rather than the opinions of others.
“I also want to tell young people that if you love someone and they are focused, appreciate them. My advice is to choose capable partners and invest in them. If they lift you, do not let them go. Young people, understand that life is about planning. Age is just a number,” he said.

Mosiria’s advice to Patelo and Dee comes at a time the couple is facing massive criticism from the public.
Quite a number of netizens have been poking fun at Patelo, stating that he settled with Dee who is older than him for nothing else but her riches.
Some even went as far as claiming the young artist does not have any say in their marriage as Dee is the one who controls almost every aspect of their lives.
