Thousands of users around the world are reporting problems connecting to Elon Musk‘s social media platform X, which is currently experiencing a major outage.
Additionally, a lot of people have said they can’t access or utilize its functions.
Users are irritated because they are unable to publish, refresh their feeds, or interact with information due to the outage, which started at midday on Monday, March 10.
Furthermore, it has been reported that Grok, X’s AI chatbot, is having technical issues and is unable to process or fulfill user requests.
Reports of X going down have increased, according to DownDetector, a company that tracks outages in online services, confirming widespread problems.
Users have complained about having trouble logging in or utilizing platform services from a variety of nations, including the US, Europe, India, and portions of Africa.
Over 10,800 difficulties were reported in the UK, compared to over 21,000 instances in the U.S. Users who were frustrated resorted to other sites, such as Telegram, Instagram, and Reddit, to vent their frustrations.
As rumors about what caused the interruption grow, the hashtag #XDown is trending.
While some users speculated if a cyberattack or a significant system breakdown was to blame, others hilariously pointed the finger at Elon Musk’s experimental improvements.
Tech experts speculate that an internal server fault may be the source of the disturbance, even though X has not yet made an official statement on the matter.
The platform might have been the target of a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack, in which servers are overloaded with fictitious traffic, according to some conjectures.
Following a BBC investigation that exposed TikTok’s involvement in making money off of sexual live streaming featuring children, the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) declared earlier this week, on March 6, that it will take urgent action against the company.
The CA opened a formal investigation into the claims and ordered TikTok to delete all content pertaining to child exploitation, including livestreams.
Additionally, they requested that TikTok present a plan to improve child protection and adhere to international and Kenyan law.
