Former Nairobi County Chief Officer for Environment Geoffrey Mosiria has turned to God and embraced salvation just hours after reports of his demotion emerged.

The vocal county official will now head Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, according to changes contained in a circular dated November 18, 2025, and signed by Governor Sakaja.

He was replaced by Hibram Otieno, who, until Thursday, November 20, served as the Chief Officer in charge of Medical Facilities.

While some of Mosiria’s followers congratulated him on his new position, many argued that the move amounted to a significant demotion.

Amid heated debates online following the Nairobi County reshuffle, the county official appeared to take solace in faith, turning to God and sharing a spiritual reflection on his social media pages.

The post attracted hundreds of likes and comments, with many linking his message to the reshuffle that moved him from the Environment docket to the Citizen Engagement and Customer Service office, a decision that caught many Nairobi residents by surprise.
