A 46-year-old woman was found deceased in her lodging room in Nakuru Town.
The woman, identified as Caroline Chepchirchir, had checked into a room in the Rhonda area on October 29 around 6 PM, entering the premises alone.
Shortly after her arrival, she experienced breathing difficulties and subsequently collapsed.
According to witnesses, she passed away within minutes.
Authorities were summoned to the location and discovered her body on the floor.
Upon investigation, police recovered various medical medications from her bag, suggesting she had been unwell.
The remains were transported to the Nakuru Annex County mortuary, where an autopsy is pending.
In a separate incident, law enforcement in Njoro, Nakuru County, is conducting a murder investigation following the discovery of a human body on the roadside.
Officers on patrol encountered the lifeless form of an unidentified male adult, who had sustained multiple head injuries and had his left hand severed at the wrist.
The remains were transported to the Egerton mortuary for preservation and identification, according to police regarding the incident that occurred on October 30.
In Matungulu, Machakos County, a 70-year-old man named Boniface Musyoka was discovered deceased in Kwa Kasee village.
Law enforcement officials arrived at the location and located the deceased’s body in a thicket.
There were no visible injuries on the body, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of death, as stated by the police.
In Mbooni, Makueni County, a decomposed male body was discovered in a thicket in Kisuvuoni village.
Authorities reported that some body parts were found mutilated when the remains were uncovered on Wednesday.
The body has been transferred to the Mbooni sub-county morgue, where it awaits identification and an autopsy.
The timeline of the victim’s death and the identity of the perpetrator remain unclear.
Police indicated that they aim to identify the victim as part of their investigation into the matter.
