Released across all music streaming platforms on Saturday, November 22, Project Didier has been met with overwhelming praise, with fans applauding Madzayo’s soulful delivery, songwriting, and the carefully curated collaborations that give the album its polished edge.
The project was produced by celebrated Kenyan music producers Wuod Omollo, Ben ‘Gittx’ Ndatha, and the legendary Saint P, ensuring a premium sound that blends professionalism and artistic authenticity.
The album also features top-tier talents such as Tony Maluda, enriching its musical diversity.
According to the album’s profile, the tracks were penned by an impressive team of songwriters including Didier Madzayo, Olvine Japhet, Nviiri, Bosco Baya, and Jerry Ogallo, each contributing to its rich storytelling.

Madzayo’s return was not a solo journey.
He received immense support from key industry veterans who encouraged him to reclaim his space in music.
Among them are legendary Them Mushrooms member John Katana (Uncle), former TPF 5 Academy Principal Hellen Mtawali, and DJ Shanga Tatu, all of whom played critical roles in rebuilding his artistic confidence.
“People like Madam Hellen and Uncle John Katana reminded me that I needed to get back my spot in the music industry. That pushed me to make a comeback with a gift to my fans, The Project Didier Album,” Madzayo told Nairobi News in an exclusive phone interview.
Before this comeback, the singer had taken a prolonged break from music, leaving thousands of fans wondering when, or if, he would ever return.
Madzayo revealed that his hiatus was driven by family feuds, work pressures, and mental health struggles, which eventually led him into depression.

In search of healing, he embarked on a transformative journey that took him to Peru, where he sought plant-based medicine and spiritual therapy deep within the Amazon Forest.
There, he worked closely with Shipibo Tribe healers (light workers) and tapped into ancestral ceremonies guided by Great Grandmother Ayahuasca to restore his mental and emotional balance.
Madzayo says the Peru experience played a crucial role in his recovery, grounding him and igniting the fire for his musical rebirth.
Once healed, he returned with a renewed sense of purpose, and the result is an album now making waves across major music platforms.
Known for his emotive storytelling, vocal depth, and unmatched sincerity, the former Tusker Project Fame contestant continues to express immense gratitude to the people who stood by him during his darkest and brightest moments, his family, supporters, mentors, and loyal fans.
Madzayo often reflects on life’s unpredictable rhythm, how easy it is to lose oneself while trying to keep pace with the world.
His journey has taken him through silence, searching, healing, and rediscovery, ultimately culminating in the creation of Project Didier.
His debut album is more than a musical offering; it is a deeply personal expression of his spirit, struggles, and awakening.
Each track tells a chapter of his story, a journey from pain to peace, confusion to clarity, and loss to love.
Project Didier stands as a reminder that no matter how far one drifts, their inner light is never lost.
It waits patiently, just as his fans did, for the moment of return.
