Reality TV matriarch Kris Jenner has finally opened up about her experience with the weight-loss drug Ozempic, revealing that the medication made her so ill she could barely function.
Speaking candidly on the “She MD” podcast, the 70-year-old admitted she tried the popular GLP-1 drug before it exploded into mainstream Hollywood culture, but quickly realized it was not for her.
Jenner said the side effects became unbearable and forced her to stop taking it.

“I can’t work anymore. I’m so sick,” Jenner recalled telling her doctor after using the medication.
According to her, the drug caused severe nausea and discomfort that disrupted her daily routine and professional life.
Ozempic, whose active ingredient is semaglutide, was originally developed to help adults with Type 2 diabetes manage blood sugar levels.
However, it has become hugely popular in celebrity circles because of its weight-loss effects.
Medical experts say the drug commonly causes gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, and stomach pain, symptoms Jenner says she experienced firsthand.
After quitting Ozempic, Jenner said she switched to peptide injections and supplements recommended by her physician, Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi.
She described the alternative treatment as a “game changer,” claiming it boosted her energy and improved her overall wellness, including her skin, hair, and nails.
Jenner also revealed she now prioritizes hormone health and undergoes regular blood testing every three months to monitor her body as she ages.
The Kardashian family matriarch encouraged women over 45 to pay closer attention to their health and wellness routines.
Her confession comes after years of speculation surrounding the Kardashian-Jenner family and the use of GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro.
Fans have long debated whether dramatic celebrity weight loss transformations in Hollywood were linked to the drugs.
Several celebrities have publicly shared mixed experiences with Ozempic in recent years.
Comedian Chelsea Handler previously revealed she unknowingly used the medication after it was prescribed by her anti-aging doctor, later stopping because it made her feel nauseous.
Online conversations about GLP-1 drugs have also intensified, with social media users debating issues such as “Ozempic face,” rapid weight loss, and the pressure celebrities face to maintain ultra-thin appearances.

Reddit discussions and recent studies analyzing online communities show nausea, fatigue, vomiting, and digestive problems are among the most frequently reported side effects from users.
Despite the criticism and controversy surrounding the drug, Ozempic continues to surge in popularity worldwide, especially among people seeking rapid weight loss.
Health professionals, however, continue to warn that the medication should only be used under proper medical supervision due to possible serious side effects, including pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney issues, and thyroid-related concerns.
