Nairobi County Chief of Environment, Geoffrey Mosiria has been doing the lord’s work by trying to bring sanity, order and cleanliness in the county.
From issuing notices over environmental violation to noise pollution, Mosiria has dealt with all in moves that has garnered him fans and critics in equal measures.
With that said, the county representative recently sparked mixed reactions on social media after raiding and shutting down a Roysambu club over noise pollution.
Nairobi News has learnt Mosiria, accompanied by his enforcement team from the Nairobi County Government brought things to a standstill at the notorious Airport Tanners, in Roysambu.

The County Chief of Environment and his team raided the establishment and confiscated music equipment, leading to it’s immediate closure.
According to Mosiria, the club had violated several laws, including setting it up in a residential area and noise pollution.
In a video posted on his Facebook page on Monday, August 18 2025, Mosiria disclosed they swung into action following incessant complaints from residents neighbouring the club.
His move impressed many netizens especially those living near the club.
Claudia Mwendwa wrote;
“🤣🤣🤣 ndo maana leo wame nyamaza 🤣🤣 smn told me on Thursday that they have naked party ,wbaba wanaishia huko🤣,,thanks very much will sleep like a baby today.”
Hellene Wambui posted;
“Continue doing the good job Sir 💯,”
“Good work sir,” Albert Albert wrote.

Others, however, picked issue with Mosiria and the entire Nairobi County Government.
Many wondered why the county issued the notorious clubs with licences in the first place.
Benjamin Onuong’a wrote;
“Why would the county government issue bar licenses in residential areas in the first place?”
She Shiro wrote;
“First, why issue a license?”
“There should be laws or regulations that restrict certain types of businesses like clubs, bars, or even some religious institutions from operating in strictly residential areas. It’s just common sense but huku Kenya breaking laws is the order of the day,” Skyla Shika noted.
