TikTok is home to millions of catchy sounds — from viral songs to funny audio clips. If you’ve ever heard one you want to turn into your ringtone, the good news is that you can. It just takes a few simple steps.
Below is a complete guide on how to turn any TikTok sound into a ringtone on both Android and iPhone.
Step 1: Save the TikTok Sound to Your Phone
Before creating a ringtone, you need the audio file.
Option A: Save the TikTok Video
- Open the TikTok video with the sound you want.
- Tap the Share button.
- Select Save video.
Option B: Use “Share as Audio” (if available)
Some TikTok audios allow:
- Tap Share.
- Select Share as audio.
If the option is not available, downloading the video works fine.
Step 2: Convert the Video into an Audio File
Ringtones must be audio files (MP3 for Android, M4R for iPhone).
On Android
- Install a free video-to-audio converter such as:
- Video to MP3 Converter
- InShot MP3 Converter
- Open the saved TikTok video inside the app.
- Export it as an MP3.
On iPhone
- Install Documents by Readdle (free).
- Use its built-in browser to visit an online video-to-audio converter (e.g., CloudConvert or MP3Convert).
- Upload the TikTok video.
- Download the audio (M4A) file.
Step 3: Edit the Audio (Optional)
TikTok audios can be long — you can trim them for ringtone use.
Apps You Can Use:
- Android: MP3 Cutter & Ringtone Maker
- iPhone: GarageBand (free)
Trim it to the best part of the sound, usually 15–30 seconds.
Step 4: Set the Sound as Your Ringtone
On Android
- Open Settings.
- Go to Sound & vibration.
- Tap Ringtone.
- Choose Select from files or Add ringtone.
- Select your TikTok MP3 file.
Your new ringtone is now active.
On iPhone (Using GarageBand)
Apple only lets custom ringtones be set through GarageBand.
- Open GarageBand.
- Create a new project using Audio Recorder.
- Tap the Tracks view (the three horizontal lines).
- Tap Loop → Files.
- Import your TikTok audio.
- Drag it into the workspace and trim if needed.
- Tap the Share icon.
- Choose Ringtone → Export.
- When done, go to:
Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Ringtone - Select your newly exported TikTok ringtone.
Step 5: Use TikTok Sound for Alarms or Notifications
You can also use the audio for alerts.
On Android
- Go to Settings → Notifications → Notification sounds.
- Choose the same MP3 file.
On iPhone
- Custom ringtones made via GarageBand can also be used for alarms in the Clock app.
