Dennis Itumbi has disclosed that he will split his salary with the late Mr KK Mwenyewe’s close friend Kafengo, days after publicly offering him a government job.
The Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy on Tuesday, July 29, revealed that he had met with Kafengo whom he described as a sharp kind with algebra-level precision.
“Just met Kafengo, a sharp mind and solid guy with a degree in Mathematics with Computing. Expect algebra-level precision as he tackles real challenges in the content creation world,” Itumbi wrote on Twitter.

He also noted that Kafengo, along with his videographer Mike, will be teaming up with his content team to build new platforms and explore fresh digital territory.
“He’s teaming up with Mike (his videographer) to build new platforms with us. For now, we will share my salary, and they will still run their hustle independently. Karibu sana!” he added.
Itumbi’s latest revelation comes barely a fortnight after Itumbi promised to offer Kafengo a job in his office.
While addressing mourners at Mr KK Mwenyewe’s funeral which was help on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Itumbi promised that Kafengo would soon be offered a job all in a bid to support and strengthen Kenya’s digital content creation industry.

“Kafengo was working with KK Mwenyewe. Many people online have told me that we can work with Kafengo. I will work with him and give him a job so that he helps us address digital content creation matters. That is not just a story. He will get a job starting Monday,” Itumbi said.
His job offer to Kafengo impressed many people, especially on social media who duly lauded him for finally acknowledging and helping creatives.
