Ja Rule loses it on plane, hurls pillow at Tony Yayo in shocking mid-air scuffle

Legendary American rapper Ja Rule has spoken out hours after nearly coming to blows with G-Unit member Tony Yayo during a Delta Airlines flight.

Nairobi News understands that Yayo and Rule turned a routine cross-country trip into a tense mid-air showdown after clashing in a moment that was caught on camera and later went viral online.

In an exclusive video obtained by TMZ, the two were seen in a heated verbal dispute aboard a Delta flight from San Francisco to New York City on the morning of Sunday, February 8.

Reports from the U.S. indicate that tensions boiled over shortly after boarding.

Ja Rule, who was seated ahead of Tony Yayo and a friend, reportedly kicked things off with a comment directed at them as passengers were settling into their seats.

That remark quickly escalated into a verbal argument.

The footage captures the confrontation already in full swing, underscoring just how heated the exchange had become.

Ja Rule was heard yelling profanities, repeatedly saying he wanted to fight, and at one point threw a pillow back toward Yayo.

The scuffle forced a Delta Airlines crew member to intervene.

Witnesses on the plane told members of the press that both men were briefly removed from the aircraft while the situation was being addressed.

During the confrontation, Tony Yayo reportedly shouted back that airplanes are “federal offense territory” and insisted he had done nothing wrong.

The incident quickly caught TMZ’s attention, and the outlet reached out to Ja Rule for comment.

“Hi Ja — Jamie here from TMZ — reaching out for comment regarding a Delta flight you were on Sunday morning. Witness tells us — from SFO to JFK — Ja Rule got into an argument with Tony Yayo on the flight. Ja was the aggressor and yelled profanities, saying he wanted to fight, then threw a pillow at Tony Yayo. Crew stepped in and pulled both guys off the plane for a bit. Yayo yelled back that planes are federal offense territory and he did nothing wrong. 🤣,” TMZ wrote.

In a quick response via X (formerly Twitter), Ja Rule appeared to double down, claiming he threw a pillow at Yayo because he is “soft.”

“🤣 I popped on these punks by myself on a plane lmao pssy ass n***s I threw the pillow at Yayo head cuz you soft… 😂🤣 knocked ya hat all off s**t was hilarious…”

While Ja Rule has publicly addressed the incident, Tony Yayo has yet to share his side of the story.
